(Elias)

(Hey Liedlovers: Wanna know more – jump to the english version...)

(Elias)

We are especially looking forward to the Liedwettbewerb Stuttgart 2020 because …

… there are Lied- and Hugo Wolf-enthusiasts coming together on one spot to let poems become sound with a lot of attention for all the details. (Martina)

… it offers a fantastic opportunity to deal intensively with great repertoire and to present it to an interested audience and a highly qualified jury. (Elias)

We have been preparing for the competition

since our first moments of making music together by disassembling, assembling, reflecting, sometimes also overthinking, contextualizing, laughing a lot and in the end making music as naturally as possible with a lot of joy.  And yet we’re thrilled by the creative power that these songs are radiating.

A word that characterizes my duo partner:

Martina about Elias: Essence

Elias about Martina: Imagination

Our favorite Hugo Wolf song is Gebet

because the lyrics of Mörike are so beautifully symbolized in song.

The competition’s livestream is great because …

… it is an attractive offer for the current demand. (Martina)

… that way family/friends/acquaintances from different countries can join in the excitement "live" and enjoy the music. (Elias)
