»Singing songs requires an almost daring honesty. To sing songs, the singer needs a great imagination – the possibility to send his imagination on a journey without interruption and to create a world in the shortest possible time from an introspective view, which the listener can experience almost vividly. Singing songs is – if successful – the greatest artistic satisfaction a performer can experience.«
Brigitte Fassbaender, chairwoman 2026
